Chicago P.D.

About Chicago P.D.

Chicago P.D. centres on Chicago's police Intelligence Unit and the team led by Hank Voight. Major-crime investigations sit alongside difficult choices about obtaining results and the consequences of the methods used. Finding an offender is only part of the attraction: the pressure between loyalty to colleagues, professional responsibility and personal limits is another important way into the series.

This is a choice for viewers looking for a police drama with developing relationships, rather than only a sequence of criminal puzzles. Our recommended entry is the first season of Chicago P.D., followed in episode order. The immediate investigation gives you a point of reference, but the officers' decisions accumulate meaning; starting far ahead can expose personal changes you have not yet followed.

The series shares a universe with Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. That makes crossover stories possible, but does not require completing both before meeting this unit. When a case specifically continues in another show, check the order of that particular crossover. To preserve your place, record the full series title with season and episode: a shared broadcast night alone does not identify each story part.
