In 1993, estranged fighters Ryu and Ken are brought back together when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior tournament. What begins as a brutal competition conceals a conspiracy that forces both men to confront opponents, each other, and unresolved parts of their past.

The starting point combines a fighting tournament with unfinished business between Ryu and Ken. The year 1993 belongs to the fictional setting, not this film’s release year. Searching by title without checking the date can lead to a different feature or a game entry; the reference here is the 2026 production.
Andrew Koji plays Ryu, Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters and Callina Liang plays Chun-Li. Kitao Sakurai directs this adaptation of Capcom’s characters. Keeping those three names as orientation is more useful than memorising every tournament participant before starting. This introduction focuses on the invitation and initial conflict without revealing match-ups or the outcomes of individual fights.
You can use this film as the entry point to its story. Our route does not require playing the full Street Fighter catalogue or watching earlier screen adaptations before meeting these versions of Ryu and Ken. If you already know the brand, separate recognition from plot knowledge: a familiar name or move does not automatically explain what that character wants in this particular film.
A fighting game lets you select participants and repeat contests; a film fixes a sequence of choices. That difference is useful when comparing formats without insisting on a one-to-one match between a play session and a scene. Follow why Chun-Li brings the fighters together and what separates Ryu from Ken. A conspiracy belongs to the opening premise; its explanation and consequences remain part of watching the film.
Dates may change. Missing dates do not mean there are no other releases.
